Unregistered British Birds Flock Together

Compliance or Jail

“Pet” bird owners, including backyard chickens, ducks, emus, parakeets, parrots, finches, racing pigeons, doves, turkeys, etc., in Scotland, Ireland, and England must register all of their birds once a year or face stiff fines of over USD 5,000.00 and even risk six months in prison. All this and more for the sin of keeping unregistered birds. Welcome to the Great Leap Forward to jumpstart the New World Order.

Even a single chicken or parakeet must be registered - you know, to keep everybody safe. This is even though the BBC recently reported that there have been zero cases of avian flu among “captive birds” anywhere in the UK.

This article is paywalled, beyond this point - content is for paid subscribers only.

From the government website:

You must register if you keep poultry or other captive birds in England or Wales. This includes any birds you keep as pets.

This is an interesting turn of events because when these rules were reported to the public in 2023, indoor pet birds were excluded from the registry. Another bait and switch.

Of course, the nasty truth is that avian influenza cycles around our wild bird populations again and again. This is nothing new. Even if the British Isles eliminated avian influenza from their wild bird populations, it would soon re-appear from migratory birds.

But back here in the good old USA, Imperial infectious disease surveillance capital of the world, now that they have “perfected” the PCR test for new avian flu strains, they are testing that sh*t everywhere.

(but also in cats, mice, ferrets, deer, skunks, foxes, bears, mink, seals, porpoises, cattle, and dolphins - and pretty much every other mammal they run testing on). The truth is that for humans, transmission is rare, and the severity of the disease is minimal. But the CDC is taking no chances. Because it isn’t their money they are spending.

The CDC even has their own “Human Influenza Virus Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel (authorization number K190302) test kit”. So, you betcha! It is safe to assume that under the Bayh-Dole Act, a few CDC scientists in Atlanta are probably making some royalty coin on the side.

Getting back to the UK.

  • What happened to the right to privacy and freedom?

  • What happened to the right to grow and raise your food without government interference?

The Great British nanny state has become a straightjacket.

The citizens of Great Britain have taken this loss of freedom to heart.

What followed has been a social media rebellion of sorts -

Of note, the government conducted a “consultation” (poll) and learned that the vast majority of people in the UK are against these draconian measures.

Resistance is useless, but over-compliance is vital.

In a novel protest movement, British citizens are now registering their frozen chickens, rubber duckies, stuffed birds, and they are even registering dogs and cats that “identify” as chickens.

The result?

A major systems crash of the government registration website…

This is absolutely fabulous.

But this is just a small win in a larger battle. The war on small farmers, allotment plots, homesteaders, and even pet owners has just begun.

This is another form of disaster cronyism.

Once a registry is established, testing will commence. As Avian Influenza is everywhere, this will be followed by diagnostics, vaccines, “culling” (killing”). treatment modalities, disinfectants, and PPE soon follow.

And what happens once testing commences? Will someone’s fifty-year-old pet cockatoo who tests positive be subject to euthanasia? What about that flock of heritage turkeys?

What about little Jane’s pet chicken - yep? Will little Jane’s chicken be “euthanized” in front of Jane or taken away to a government killing facility?

We already know that this is the preferred government solution to the problem of avian influenza. The faddish- trend of big governments is to kill the flock. The problem is of course, that it doesn’t work. How many more billions of birds have to be “culled” before they get a clue?

But for now, the government response is that if a single positive test result is obtained in a poultry house of 50,000, then they force the farmer to kill the entire flock. Tens of thousands of poultry are all wasted in the process. Billions of birds are now being culled each year. After all, why wait thirty days for the flock to become immune when killing is such an easy alternative? Clearly, with the government, money is no object.

Once one country goes down the disaster cronyism rabbit hole, those nations that somehow believe that they have money to burn will soon follow.

The USDA, through its state affiliates, already has a registration program for poultry, sheep, goats, pigs, and cattle farms of smaller scale. As a horse owner, I can attest that the process to cross state lines is quite onerous. They wish to identify, track and trace all aspects of the horse industry.

With all the psychological bioterrorism surrounding “highly pathogenic” bird flu, one can speculate that unless there is a large public outcry, it is probably just a matter of time before chicken and parakeet registry programs become the norm.
