"Who is Robert Malone?" - Four Years Later

What do I have to be thankful for...

On November 26, 2021 - exactly four years ago to the day (on the advice of Steve Kirsh), I began this Substack - not thinking that it would soon become both my public voice and a place for my private musings. A forum where I would share not only my intellectual forays into a wide range of topics, but also my private journal about farm life, homesteading, and my own well-being, my own health, and so much more. That Jill would come to share in the daily writings. Together, Jill, our readers, and I would build a community that has helped to sustain all of us in moments of triumph and through the hard times.

That first Subatack, I began with a quote - an idea of a new age of light and darkness, where nothing would ever be the same.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us…

~ A Tale of Two Cities

Let’s look back to the end of November 2021; Biden had been in office for a little less than a year. A year that had seen the censorship industrial complex ramp up to unimaginable levels - both here and abroad. The vaccine, mask, school closures, and lockdown mandates were being forced on all of us, down to the level of little tiny babies in daycare. The giveaways from the Biden administration to large businesses for COVID-19 relief were beginning to push inflation to astronomical levels.

This graph above, which measures inflation, speaks for itself.

Then there are the illegal immigrants who poured over the border during Biden’s regime: According to a 2024 fact sheet from Congress, since 2021, more than 10.8 million “encounters” nationwide were recorded, including around 8.72 million at the Southwest border. By the end of 2021, we began to realize the extent of the illegal immigration issue.

A week or two after I started this Substack, Omicron hit the USA bigtime. I did the calculations and wrote numerous essays on how Omicron was both a gift and expected. The virus was getting more infectious and less virulent. That the spread of Omicron would displace other variants. I went on various media outlets (including Fox/Laura Ingram) to explain this.

However, soon after, on December 17, Biden came out with his own dire prediction, stating that Omicron was going to cause severe illness and death among the unvaccinated. What a message for a president to make a week before Christmas! Particularly since it was completely and utterly false.

Never forget-

Biden: Winter of ‘severe illness and death’ for unvaccinated due to Omicron”

(Omicron) - it’s here now and it’s spreading and it’s going to increase

For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe

illness and dead. For the unvaccinated - for themselves, their families and the hospital they’ll soon overwhelm…

but there’s good news if you’re vaccinated.

If you have your booster shot, you’re protected from severe illness and death.

Period.

-President Biden, December 17, 2021

Omicron was a gift -

In fact, I wrote a Substack article on December 18th, 2021, using various papers to document my analysis below:

These papers show that Omicron appears to be associated with three broad characteristics: Vaccine escape (resistance), increased viral replication, and reduced disease. In contrast, the preceding dominant variant (Delta) is also associated with vaccine escape, increased viral replication, and increased disease severity compared to preceding dominant circulating variants.

My take: This study presented the data that allowed me to formulate the hypothesis that Omicron may have now evolved to replicate more in our upper respiratory airway, and less in the deep part of our lung tissues due to shifts in receptor specificity. In other diseases, like influenza, replication in the upper respiratory airways is associated with less severe disease.

The question is, what government official wrote out Biden’s little ditty on severe illness and death for the unvaccinated? And why? When would any infectious disease specialist do that?

After I came out with my analysis, mainstream media went crazy, attacking me for daring to state the obvious. Omicron was a gift - but I was 100% correct.

Yet still, mainstream media, WIKI, AIs use all those attack articles written early on to defame me to this day. To the point where certain officials have indicated that they would prefer that I keep a low-key role in the current administration, as I am far too controversial consequent to the gaslighting and delegitimization campaigns in mainstream media.

That fall, four years ago, Jill and I were apprehensive about how we would make a living. We had thrown away our consulting business, which was focused on government proposals and clinical trials development research, by speaking out about COVID-19 pandemic policies, the vaccine, and the censorship industrial complex. I had many extremely repugnant articles written about me in the mainstream press and in scientific journals. People I had known for decades had stopped talking to me, emails from colleagues stopped coming - professionally, I had been blacklisted and hung out to dry.

Friends and family stopped talking to us. We weren’t invited to Thanksgiving and Christmas parties. Life as we knew it changed forever.

I have received hate mail and even death threats. People supposedly on the anti-vaccine, anti-mandate, anti-lockdown side began attacking me, also. Both sides were calling me a mass murderer. Oh, and a Nazi. There was a significant and powerful disinformation campaign to discredit me from both the Biden administration/liberal left and from “conservative” influencers supposedly on our side. Two such influencers have literally written thousands of articles each attacking me. One has even stalked me at public events where I was speaking.

The fall of 2021 and into that winter was a time of reflection, of change. We were in the process of re-evaluating how we viewed the world at large.

I became aware that my conservative roots- which I had kept buried deep within me while I had risen professionally as a scientist, were re-emerging. I began going back to texts that I had read in my youth, reimagining an America based on the original intent of our Constitution and Bill of Rights. The traditional values that Jill and I have always held dear began to shape themselves more clearly.

Four years ago, there was a new feeling in the air, an awakening of sorts, throughout alternative media. I spoke out on podcasts, smaller news outlets, conservative media. And I wrote here in this substack (then called “Who is Robert Malone”, an allusion to "Who is John Gault”). I wrote and I wrote and wrote. I still write - if not me, Jill - almost daily.

The last four years have brought positive change for myself as well:

  • There has been some movement to see my reputation restored.

  • Jill and I wrote two books, both of which sold well. Our farm has prospered, and we are financially more stable- in large part due to our paid subscribers, for whose support Jill and I are eternally grateful.

  • I have continued to put out countless science-based articles - some even peer-reviewed.

  • This Substack continues to be a success, with 356,000 total subscribers.

  • I now serve on the CDC ACIP committee as Vice Chairperson (stay tuned for the meeting next week!)

  • I was recently asked to be a full professor (adjunct) at Pennington Biomedical - Louisiana State University.

  • I serve as medical advisor to MAHA action, which was not even a twinkle in RFKjr’s eye at the time.

  • I have a circle of friends and colleagues that I couldn’t have imagined having four years ago.

I have wedded myself to the Conservative cause.

Who would have guessed that this would be my life four years ago?

The havoc that Biden brought was enormous.

Here we all are, four years later, and so much has changed.

The most significant change is President Trump’s re-election.

He continues to lead by example and, in particular, has done enormous good by enacting a series of executive orders.

Here is a summary:
Across these executive actions, Trump’s approach can be summarized as:

1. Restore national sovereignty: Border security, deportations, and limits on asylum fraud.
2. Dismantle the “woke bureaucracy.”
DEI elimination, Title IX rollbacks, and ending climate/DEI mandates.
3. Reassert traditional values, including protection for women’s sports, ending taxpayer-funded abortion and gender-transition procedures for minors.
4. Rebuild American energy dominance. This includes aggressive expansion of domestic oil, gas, and nuclear capacity and the rollback of climate activism.
5. Shrink the administrative state: Schedule F, deregulation, and deep cuts to bureaucratic authority.
6. Restore U.S. industrial power and financial sovereignty: Anti-CBDC stance, pro-industry tariffs, domestic manufacturing focus.
7. Assert law, order, and community safety
Federal crackdown on violent crime and drug trafficking.
8. Make America Healthy Again (MAHA): A National Health & Wellness Reset to redefine the federal government’s approach to chronic disease, children’s health, nutrition, environmental exposures, and overmedicalization.

The question remains, when, if ever, will this Republican Congress back up these orders with long-term legislation? Without a real legislative agenda, the 2026 elections will find Republicans on the minority side of the aisle again, and the opportunity for lasting change will be lost.

The MAHA agenda is what ultimately won Trump re-election, as that 2-4% of people who believe that poor health has reached a tipping point in the USA were swayed to vote for Trump. That is the same group of people that could tip the 2026 midterm elections, if only Congress would wake up and smell the coffee.

I am thankful that my friend, Secretary Kennedy, endorsed President Trump when he did. That one act changed the course of America.

And yes, of course, I also endorsed President Trump’s candicacy.

So, as I look to the future- one that is awash in uncertainty, as it is for everyone- I know that four years ago was a dark time in this country, which was followed by even darker times.

That the veil of darkness has been lifted nationally.

Thankful that this holds true in my own life as well.

I of course, am most thankful for my fifty years rotating around the sun with my wife, Jill.

But I am also thankful for all the readers, our community, that continues to stick by me, to support this Substack, and be a part of my life.
